About Us: What's New at Biodiversity Project
Donor Spotlight: Paul L. Angermeier
March 5, 2009

Paul L. Angermeier grew up on a farm in southern Indiana, where he learned to love the outdoors. He still enjoys biking, fishing, hiking, and hunting.

Professionally, he is a U.S. Geological Survey scientist and Professor in Virginia Tech's Department of Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences.

“I contribute to the Biodiversity Project because my career as an aquatic ecologist and conservationist has shown me that conservation education is at least as (and perhaps more) important to actually conserving biodiversity as conservation science. Their work to understand what people think and feel about biodiversity, and why, is crucial to building a culture of stewardship in which biota are properly valued and conserved.”
