Internship OpportunityOctober 29, 2009 Biodiversity Project (www.biodiversityproject.org) is looking for a hard-working intern who’s interested in gaining firsthand experience working in a small, well-established environmental non-profit.
The intern will be working directly with several staff to assist with our Great Lakes (www.greatlakesforever.org and www.greatlakestownhall.org) and Mississippi River (www.1mississippi.net) programs as well as a few of our smaller local programs. Work may include writing, online research and assisting with program implementation as well as more office-oriented duties such as mailings, program logistics and database management.
The ideal intern will be able to work independently, meet deadlines and be interested in non-profit environmental work. This is an excellent opportunity for college and graduate level students to get experience working in the environmental field. We are happy to complete any forms or reviews necessary to give you school credit for your work.
We provide a flexible 15-20 hour workweek in our Ravenswood office (4507 North Ravenswood). We request a minimum 4 month commitment with the opportunity to extend the internship.
